KARACHI: The number of Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) reached half million mark by end of December 2022. According to latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) some 12,225 new RDA accounts were opened in Dec 2022. Overall the number of RDA accounts reached 511,159 mark in Dec 2022 up from 498,934 in Nov 2022.
RDA gross inflows rose by $ 140 million in December 2022. Although inflows are gradually increasing, however the surge in Dec 2022 is the lowest monthly inflow since Dec 2020.
With current increase, RDA gross inflows reached at $ 5.576 billion mark as of Dec 2022 compared to $ 5.436 billion in Nov 2022.

Since the launching of RDA in Sep 2020 to Dec 2022, total investments made through RDA stood at $ 3.5 billion.
This includes $ 1.772 billion investment in conventional Naya Pakistan Certificates and $ 1.725 billion in Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates. While, some $48 million were invested in stock market.
During Dec 2022, investment in conventional NPCs was rose by $22 million and $45 million in Islamic NPCs.
