ISLAMABAD:
A Dutch multinational company is eyeing the proliferation of dairy industry in Pakistan and has sought government’s support to press ahead with its plan.
In a meeting with Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin on Monday, Royal FrieslandCampina Global CEO Hein Schumacher discussed some proposals in this regard.
Acknowledging the business-friendly environment in Pakistan, he appreciated the efforts of the government to facilitate foreign investors, especially in the dairy industry.

On the occasion, Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin supported the suggested proposals, including investment and improvement in the livestock and agriculture sector.
He assured the Dutch firm’s CEO of the government’s full support for the development of dairy industry, according to a press release.
Tarin highlighted the government’s policies and initiatives to provide a conducive environment for both domestic and foreign investors.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of the Netherlands Wouter Plomp, Royal FrieslandCampina President and CEO of Food and Beverages Roel Van Neerbos and senior officers of the Finance Division.
